How to Make Red Rice Krispie Bites

First, make a 3 Cup batch of Rice Krispie Treat mixture (3 Tbsp. Butter/3 Cups Mini Marshmallows/3 Cups Cereal).  Add the food coloring BEFORE you add the Rice Krispie Cereal. To create this shade of Red we used our 8 drops of Crimson Wilton Color Right Food coloring and 1 drop of Red Food Coloring.  Allow the Red Rice Krispie Treat mixture to cool enough so you can handle it but that it is still malleable.  To get Rice Krispie Bites that were the same sized I measured .5 oz. of the mixture on my food scale and then used by hands to roll it into a ball. If the mixture is too sticky, rub your fingers with some butter.  I was able to make 18 Rice Krispie Treat Bites from this 3 cup batch of Rice Krispie Treat Mixture.
